Your crew chips a windscreen. We fix it. You pay one flat price.
Hand the driver a card. They book with us, we repair it, and it goes on your monthly invoice at $189 + GST. No argument on the side of the road.
The repair is the cheap part.
- A replacement claim if the chip spreads: a full windscreen replacement in Australia typically costs $1,200 to $2,500 once camera recalibration is included
- Your insurance excess, or paying it out of your own pocket
- The phone calls and emails while it gets sorted
- An angry driver, and sometimes a complaint to your client
Most stone chips can be repaired if they're fixed before they spread. The Damage Desk makes sure they are.
Your crew hands over a card. We do the rest.
- Step 1
Cards in every crew vehicle
We set up your account and give you a pad of Damage Desk cards for each ute and truck.
- Step 2
Hand the driver a card
When someone says your crew hit their car, a crew member hands them a card. That's the whole job for your crew.
- Step 3
We book and repair it
The driver scans the card and sends us the details. We offer them a repair within 2 business days, at our kiosk or at their home.
- Step 4
It goes on your monthly invoice
One line per incident: date, rego, where it happened and the damage diagram.
- ✓ Every repairable chip and crack on that windscreen
- ✓ Any size, any complexity, same price
- ✓ We handle the driver: booking, the repair, the receipt
- ✓ If it can't be repaired, you don't pay
- ✓ Repair at the driver's home: + $59 + GST
The 2-day guarantee
The driver is offered a repair within 2 business days of contacting us, or that incident is free.
Founding 10 Crews
Your first incident is free. Once your cards are in every crew vehicle, the first incident they hand out is on us. We're taking on 10 crews to start because our repair capacity is limited.
Gravel and trailers chip your glass too.
Add Fleet Glass Cover to the same account: every chip and crack on your own vehicles repaired at your yard or our kiosk for $200 + GST per vehicle per year. See fleet prices.
What crews ask us.
What does the driver pay?+
Nothing. The repair goes on your account, so the driver has nothing to pay at the kiosk.
What's included in the flat price?+
Every repairable chip and crack on that windscreen from the incident, whatever the size or complexity, for $189 + GST ($207.90 inc GST). A repair at the driver's home instead of our kiosk adds $59 + GST.
What if it can't be repaired?+
Then you don't pay for it. We tell you and the driver what we found. We don't replace windscreens, so a replacement is between you and the driver.
Does handing over a card mean we admit fault?+
The card says your business uses Chippy Repair to look after windscreen damage reported to its crews. It doesn't say who caused the damage.
We work on a council or main roads contract.+
Put a standing purchase order on the account and we'll quote it on every invoice, so the costs line up with the contract they belong to.
We're a council with our own crews.+
You use the same account. Your claims officer approves anything outside the flat price, every job carries your purchase order number, and you pay on 30-day invoice terms.
